Step 1 of 5

Know If You Are Eligible

This qualification is assessed entirely through real workplace evidence, so it is important to confirm you have the appropriate strategic health and safety responsibilities and access to evidence before you commit to registering. Completing the skills scan above is a good first step.

Step 2 of 5

Register, Then Attend Your Induction Within 5 Working Days

Once registered, your assessor will meet with you online within 5 working days to confirm your eligibility and explain the assessment process. The meeting is recorded.

After you register, providing the required documents, a valid photo ID, and paying the course fee, you will receive access to Assesseez, our online assessment management platform.

Within 5 working days of your registration, your dedicated assessor will hold an online induction meeting with you. This meeting is recorded for quality assurance purposes. During the meeting, they will confirm your eligibility, explain the assessment process, and advise you on the types of workplace evidence required to demonstrate your strategic leadership responsibilities. If you do not meet the qualification requirements, your registration may be cancelled and any applicable fees refunded.

Step 3 of 5

Submit Your Awarding Body Documents

Upload the documents ProQual requires through Assesseez, and your assessor will review them and advise you.

You will submit the documents required by the Awarding Body, ProQual, through the Assesseez portal. Your assessor will review these documents and let you know if anything further is needed before you begin submitting evidence for your units.

Step 4 of 5

Submit One Unit at a Time for Review

Work through the qualification one unit at a time, allowing around 2 weeks per unit; your assessor will review each full submission and provide feedback within 2 weeks.

You will begin submitting your workplace evidence and written responses demonstrating your strategic leadership responsibilities. Submissions are reviewed one unit at a time, and you must not submit more than one unit at a time.

Allow approximately 2 weeks per unit to complete your assessment activities. Once you submit a full unit, your assessor will review it and provide written feedback within 2 weeks. Evidence that satisfies the assessment criteria will be marked as achieved, while any identified gaps can be addressed by revising and resubmitting your work. Once a unit is achieved, you can move on to the next.

Step 5 of 5

Quality Assurance and Your Certificate

Once every unit is achieved, IQA verifies your portfolio (up to 2 weeks) before your certificate is requested from ProQual.

Once you have successfully met all learning outcomes and assessment criteria, your portfolio undergoes Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) checks, which can take up to 2 weeks, to ensure consistency and fairness of assessment. It may then be sampled by ProQual’s External Quality Assurance (EQA) process, which may include contacting you to verify the authenticity of your evidence and assessment records.

After IQA is successfully completed, your certificate is requested from the Awarding Body, ProQual. Once all assessment and quality assurance requirements have been successfully completed, you will be awarded the ProQual Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Health and Safety Leadership and Management, formally recognising your competence as a strategic health and safety leader.

Please note: certificate issuance can sometimes be tied to an EQA visit, which may occasionally delay issuance, though this happens rarely.
